ROHTAK: A mentally-challenged young woman was gang-raped and murdered brutally last week in Rohtak, 80 km from Delhi.

According to the reports, the 28-year-old victim was violated with sticks and stones before being murdered in the city.

The police today claims that they have arrested seven men who attacked her and left her naked, half-eaten body in a field near the highway. Reports suggest that two more accused in the case have been identified.

The body of the victim was found on February 4 chewed by the animals and two primary organs missing. Two arms and the left side of the body were gone.

According to the police, the rapists had inserted several objects into her private parts including sticks, stones and condoms.

The Rohtak rape incident has once again scratched the wounds of Delhi gang-rape 2012 of a young medical student in a moving that led to a massive protest across the country demanding strict laws against rapes. (Also Read : The Battle of the Delhi Gang Rape Victim )

“In last 30 years, I have never seen such a dreadful case. The injuries indicate that the victim was hit hard on the head with a heavy object after which she became partly unconscious and was then gang-raped. Stones were inserted in her before she was dumped,” informed SK Dattarwal heading the post mortem examination.

The damaged body was found three days after the woman was reported missing by her sister. “The police refused to take my complaint seriously. They continued to tell me that you carry on with your search, you may find her or probably she will return. If the action from them was prompt, she would have been alive today,” said the sister of the victim. “We want the murderers to be hanged,” she added.

After confronting the public anger, the police prayed for luck in searching the culprits of the incident. “We are not lacking in manpower or vehicles and we are only short of luck. We will solve the case if our luck supports us,” stated Yashpal Singal Chandigarh Police Chief who is currently in Rohtak to supervise the probe.

The victim who was from Nepal had been staying with her sister since few months as she was being treated at a hospital. The police claim that one of the arrested men is a Nepal national.
