Nifty hovers around 7850, Sensex flat

New Delhi: The market started on a cautious note with the Nifty hovering around 7850 mark. The 50-share index was down 7.40 points at 7858.65. The Sensex was down 7.45 points at 25681.41. About 946 shares have advanced, 711 shares declined, and 92 shares are unchanged. 
The fall in the index was led by losses in power, realty, oil & gas, metal, and consumer durable stocks. 
Ujjivan Financial Services was listed at the exchanges at Rs 231.90 per share, 10.4 % over its issue price of Rs 210 per share. Price band for microfinance player's offer was fixed at Rs 207-210 and was open for subscription from April 28-May 2. The Rs 885-crore IPO of Ujjivan Financial Services was oversubscribed nearly 41 times earlier this month. 
Today's triggers:
Pullback on the cards: Analysts believe Nifty50 may find immediate resistance at around 7,950 level in the coming days.
Asian markets stay mixed: Most Asian markets were trading mixed this morning.
Japan's benchmark Nikkei was trading 1.54 per cent higher at 16465.13. Other Asian indices, including South Korea's Kospi (up 0.38 per cent), China's Shanghai Composite (down 0.18 per cent) and Taiwan's TWSE (up 0.20 per cent), were trading mixed. 
Earnings to generate stock-specific action: Stock-specific action will be seen on the counters of companies that are scheduled to disclose their quarterly numbers during the day.
Companies such as Century Ply, Zee Entertainment, Repco Home, NIIT, EID Parry, SRF, Radico Khaitan and Simplex Infra, among others, will disclose their quarterly earnings, on Tuesday.
