RBI finally sets-up rupee reference rate

Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Wednesday fixed the reference rate of the rupee(₹) at 67.44 against the US dollar($) and 75.20 for the euro(Є).

These rates were set at 67.70 and 75.93, respectively.

As per the statement released by the Reserve Bank Of India, the exchange rates for the pound(£) and the yen(¥) against the rupee were quoted at 98.55 and 61.32 per 100 yens respectively, based on reference rates for the dollar and cross-currency quotes.

The Special Drawing Rates (SDR) rupee figure will be based on this rate, RBI added.
