New Delhi: The State Bank of India (SBI) has decided that it will provide 'work from home option' to its female employees. The technological feasibility will be checked by the bank so that women can work from home. The decision has been taken to retain the female staff.
The initiative will allow women to work from home for one year, which can be further extended.
According to Prepsure reports, the option to work from home is being planned for the retention of women staff. Earlier, ICICI started the work from home option, making it easier for women, to manage home as well as job.
There are 45, 0000 women working with SBI at present.
Chanda Kochhar, managing director and chief executive officer of ICICI Bank had launched 'iWork@home' for women employees on International Women's Day in March 2016.
