Thereafter, the Legislature will have a month-long break to enable the proposed departmental Standing Committees to study the Budget proposals in detail, Legislature sources said.
For the first time, departmental Standing Committees are being put in place in AP Legislature on the lines of those in Parliament.
Former Speaker of Lok Sabha Shivraj Patil will inaugurate a three-day orientation programme for legislators on March 4 on the proposed Standing Committees.
The members will be taken on a two-day field visit to Icrisat, a crop research institute, and other places in Medak district on March 5 and 6.
"Depending on the interest of the members, we will make them part of a particular Standing Committee. Our objective is to ensure each member becomes part of at least one Standing Committee," a key Assembly functionary said.
The Committees will be announced at the commencement of the Budget session.
