NEW DELHI: A Christian school, ‘Holy Child Auxilium’ in Delhi’s Vasant Vihar, was allegedly vandalised on Thursday night.

Initial reports suggest that 2-3 masked miscreants entered the school premises and damaged the property.

The school has been shut down temporarily on Friday fearing more damage or attacks. The students have been sent back home, said the Church officials.

Delhi Chief Minister designate Arvind Kejriwal tweeted this morning condemning the attack on the Holy Child Auxilium School and warned that “These kind of acts will not be tolerated.”

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh while hitting out at the centre over the attack on Christian school tweeted, “Holy Child Auxillium School in Delhi vandalised after Churches were burnt. Would Home Minister GOI/ Lt Governor Act?”

Further he said, “Smriti Irani is an alumni of this School would she ensure Action against those who vandalised the School. Would HM listen to her? Let's see.”
