Twitterati targets Anushka over Virat's poor show in WC semis

There was no doubt on the fact that Anushka Sharma had to be attacked by fans if her beau, India Vice-Captain Virat Kohli did not perform well in the semi-final match held at Sydney Cricket Ground today opposite Australia.

Well, this is exactly what happened! With Virat Kohli getting out after making 1 run against Australia in 13 balls, the Twitter community erupted with jokes and jibes against the ‘NH 10’ actress.

Anushka Sharma, dating Virat Kohli was among a big number of fans who were present at the ground to cheer for the Indian Cricket Team. However, the actor turned producer looked badly disappointed as Kohli walked out to the pavilion within no time.

26-year-old Anushka became a piece of joke and some nasty tweets started flowing in soon after Virat got out.

“I knew Anushka landing up in Sydney was a bad idea! #AUSvIND #CWC15,” wrote a female fan..

“Worst mistake Anushka Sharma made in her life was to be in Sydney for the Semi's! Ab poora desh nahi maaf karne waala! ??,” another one slammed the actress.

“Feeling sorry for Anushka. Her boyfriend let her down big time! ??:” read another tweet

“What did Anushka Sharma tell Virat Kohli before he went out to bat today? 'Virat, I want you here in 5 minutes.' :D #CWC15 #AUSvsIND,” a user joked while another wrote, “True Love = Anushka Sharma traveling to Sydney to see Virat Kohli score 1 run. #CWC15.”

However, while the list of people who were blaming Sharma for Kohli’s poor performance was too long, there were also some minds that raised their voice in their favour.

“So what if #AnushkaSharma is in Sydney to watch the match. @imVkohli's performance is to be blamed. Not #Luck, you idiots. #IndvsAus,” wrote a user.
