In a bizarre case of reasoning, a college in Uttar Pradesh has banned the use of mobile phones by students within the premises.
Maharaja Harish Chandra PG College in Moradabad has issued a notice calling for banning students from using mobile phones while they are in the college.
Justifying the action, the Principal of the Harish Chandra PG College said that the move was aimed to bring discipline on the campus.
He asserted that mobile phones were an obstruction to the students in their studies which led to the decision.
Principal Vishesh Gupta also referred that banning social media and avoiding talking to girls would bring discipline among students.
“Mobile has become an obstruction in studies. Use of social media and talking to girls banned to maintain discipline,” said Vishesh Gupta talking to media.
