UGC NET 2017: The University Grants Commission on Monday announced that a detailed notification on the National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2017 will be published today on the official website. Candidates who are interested in applying for the exam can find the details of the eligibility test on the official site – cbsenetnic.in The online application will begin on 1st August and the last date to apply is 30th August.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the exam twice a year but this year the exam has been scheduled in November. Student who successfully crack the National Eligibility Test (NET) are eligible for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor in leading government approved institutions.
This year the exam will be conducted on 5th of November 2017, by CBSE. Earlier CBSE had requested not to be the conducting body for the exam as it is already conducting NEET and IIT JEE entrances.
The candidates who qualify for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) can pursue research in their post graduation stream or a related subject. The same candidates are also eligible for the posts of Assistant professor.
