After Rahman, Rajnikanth targeted
Chennai: After A. R. Rahman was issued a fatwa for composing music for a movie based on Prophet, it is Rajnikanth who is targeted next.
BJP has warned Rajnikanth from accepting role in a Biopic based on the life of Tipu Sultan. The reason being, they believe that Tipu Sultan was an anti-Hindu, and working in such a film would hurt the sentiments of Hindus.
The objection raised by many political parties is that Tipu Sultan is celebrated as a hero by only a particular community and while conquering other states, he had killed, destroyed and was very aggressive on Hindus.
L. Ganesan, BJP Leader said, “Tipu committed atrocities against Hindus.”
One of the BJP leaders was noted saying, “Won’t allow Rajini to play Tipu.”
On Saturday, noted Kannada Filmmaker, Ashok Kheny, announced that he is going to make a film on the life of Tipu Sultan. He also told that actor Rajnikanth would be roped in for the role of Tipu Sultan. (Also Read: Fatwa issued against AR Rahman for a movie on Prophet)
