'Talvar': A film for a cause

MUMBAI:The Aarushi Talwar murder case that gripped the nation ever since it was reported in 2008, is back in news due to an upcoming movie based on the same. 
 
The movie, coming two years after the sentence of life imprisonment to Aarushi’s parents, the movie attempts to question whether justice was served in this case.
 
The movie ‘Talvar,’ shows the multiple angles surrounding the murder and parents being shown as both, perpetrators as well as victims. 
 
The director indicates the reason behind making this movie so as to inspire to re-spark the case and a re-look at this murder case. 
 
The movie is already premiered in Toronto International Film Festival and a cousin of Nupur Talwar has watched it and found it as a balanced movie.   
 
‘Talvar’, directed by Meghna Gulzar, is scheduled to be released on 2nd October. Ironically, the movie which deals with the case of a violent double murder is releasing on the birthday of the Father of our Nation, who was a follower of non-violence.
 
Based on Noida double murder case, the film stars Irrfan Khan, Konkana Sen Sharma, Sohum Shah and, Neeraj Kabi in lead roles.
