Bollywood star Aamir Khan is devoting maximum time for his upcoming movie Dangal. There were rumours earlier that Dabangg Khan of B-town, Salman Khan and Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan were not sharing a good rapport lately due to their upcoming movies.
Apparently, Salman’s ‘Sultan’ is based on the same theme as Aamir’s ‘Dangal’. However, the stars of tinsel town soon clarified the reports and expressed that the two are not sharing any hard feelings for each other and that the two movies have absolutely different scripts. On one hand where Salman’s Sultan is gaining a lot of love from people, Aamir’s Dangal on the other is also garnering equal amount of attention from the fans. This is no hidden fact that the two will be involved in a tough battle as the two are even scheduled to hit screens around the same time.

Aamir Khan trained by Salman Khan’s personal trainer
Did you know that it is not only the theme of the movie that is similar to Salman’s Sultan? Yes, you read it right… Aamir Khan is being trained by Salman Khan’s personal trainer for Dangal and this was revealed by none another that the ‘Prem Rattan Dhan Payo’ actor himself. During an event earlier this month, the ‘Kick’ actor said, “Aamir will pull it off really well… [Pauses] He’s got my personal trainer training him for Dangal.”
Aamir Khan weighs 95 kg in the movie
In his two distinctive roles in Dangal, Aamir Khan actually weighs 95 kgs in the movie, playing a character of a 50-year-old wrestler and father of two girls. “I am 95 kg right now and that’s enough for the character. My breathing has changed; when I tie my laces, my stomach comes in between. After 20 seconds, I have to (take a long) breath,” Aamir told media earlier this year while speaking about his upcoming movie Dangal.
“By December (2015), we will finish the shooting, and in the next five months I will lose weight and then have one more schedule in the month of June, where my character is young. When the film will come to an end, I will be back to the PK look,” he added.
Movie based on Mahavir Phogat’s real life story
The story of Dangal revolves around the real life incidents of famous wrestler Mahavir Phogat from Haryana who has now trained his two daughters Geeta and Babita Phogat as professional wrestlers. Geeta and Babita are set to participate in the upcoming Pro Wrestling League, an IPL-like sports venture by ITV Network and Sporty Solutionz which will see participation from famous wrestlers across the globe. Aamir Khan has not left any stone unturned to give his best to the movie. Travelling from one village to another, from Haryana to Punjab, interacting with the locals, Aamir Khan did it all to give a real touch to the movie. Aamir also personally met Mahavir Phogat and interacted with his family including his two daughters to understand their life and struggle. Aamir spent almost two months in Ludhiana to understand the lifestyle of the city.
Aamir in two distinctive roles
The ‘PK’ actor will be seen in two distinctive roles in Dangal. At one side, he will be seen as a 50-year-old Mahavir Phogat weighing 95 kg and on the other hand, he will be seen as a 27-year-old young boy with an absolute lean body.
Mahavir’s family impressed by the star
In an exclusive chat with the Pro Wrestling Team, Mahavir Phogat shared his life journey. “My father was a wrestler and from there I inherited this sport. My daughters watched wrestling on sports channels on television when they were young. Many people in my village de-motivated me to take my daughters ahead in wrestling.”
The Wrestling Coach further extended his gratitude towards one of the most reputed stars of B-town saying, “I never thought that stars like Aamir Khan would display the struggle we went through and show our life in such a beautiful way via his movie. Aamir Khan is a very nice person and has given me a lot of respect. Khan has done an incredible job in portraying my character and he has simply done justice to the role.”
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Dangal’ is an upcoming Indian biographical sports drama film which is scheduled to release on December 23, 2016.
