Anupam Kher slams Vishal Bhardwaj

Inviting fresh trouble for himself, Director-Composer Vishal Bhardwaj offered controversial remarks after his third adaption of Shakespeare play ‘Haider’ won big at the 62nd National Awards.

Following a major success for Haider starring Shahid Kapoor and Shradha Kapoor, director Bhardwaj dedicated the achievement to Kashmiri Pundits.

Speaking to media, the ‘7 Khoon Maaf’ director stated that he felt sorry that the community misunderstood his feelings. “I dedicate my award to them and I feel very sad because they misunderstood my feelings. I have said it before that the tragedy of Kashmiri Pandits is very big,” he said.

Following his comments, actor Anupam Kher, who is a Kashmiri Pandit seems to be unhappy with the Director’s stand. Kher took to Twitter to express his disagreement and anger towards Bhardwaj’s views.
