Anushka, Virat hand-in-hand at Mumbai airport

After facing massive criticism following the defeat at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Semi-Final against Australia, actress Anushka Sharma and Indian Vice-Captain Virat Kohli were spotted at the Mumbai airport as they were returning from Sydney.

The ‘NH10’ actress had flown to Sydney to cheer for her beau Virat Kohli at India’s semi-final match against Australia on Thursday but unfortunately, the Indian Vice-Captain had to leave the crease after scoring only 1 run as his shot in the air could not do well. Following Kohli’s poor show, Anushka became the butt of jokes on social media. (Also Read: India VS Australia: Twitterati targets Anushka Sharma over poor performance of Virat Kohli)

But obviously, amid the long list of people criticizing Anushka, she had her B-town friends who stood in support of her and stepped out for her defence.

People such as Priyanka Chopra, Sushmita Sen, Rishi Kapoor, Madhur Bhandarkar, Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu were amongst few who slammed the twitterati attacking the 26-year-old actress. Followed by tight security, the couple was recently spotted at the Mumbai airport while returning from their Australia trip and for obvious reasons, the two were in no mood to either pose or even smile for the shutterbugs.

But what strongly could be noticed was Virat’s concern for his ladylove as he did not shy away from the cameras and continued to hold Anushka’s hand firmly swaying her through the crowd waiting to have a sight of them.
