Veteran Bollywood actress Sadhana passes away in Mumbai

Mumbai : Veteran Bollywood actress Sadhana Shivdasani died here on Friday after a long battle with cancer, as per reports.
“Sadhana breathed her last at her home this morning,” friend and BJP city spokesperson Shaina N.C. told IANS.
The 74-year-old actress was reportedly suffering from cancer for the past one year, for which she had undergone a successful surgery.
Sadhana one of the top stars of the 60s and 70s, featured in many successful big hits such as ‘Waqt,’ ‘Parakh’, ‘Asli-Naqli,’ ‘Ek Musafir Ek Hasina,’ ‘Mere Mehboob,’ ‘Mera Saaya,’ ‘Intaquam,’ ‘Ek Phool Do Mali,’ and ‘Geeta Mera Naam’ to name a few.
During her time she sported the 'fringe cut' which soon became a rage and which even today is popularly known as the 'Sadhana cut'. Some recent actresses who are known to have worn the famous cut are Bipasha Basu, Rani Mukherjee, Esha Deol, and Malaika Arora Khan.
The late actress was married to director Ram Krishna Nayyar. They were married for nearly thirty years, until his death in 1995 from asthma. The couple had no children. The actress is survived by her foster daughter.
