VHP calls for ban on film ‘Uttama Villian’

CHENNAI: Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film ‘Uttama Villian’ has landed in trouble as the Tamil wing of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has called for banning the film, claiming it will affect the religious sentiments of Hindus.

Members of VHP have alleged that the lyrics of a song in the film have belittled a conversation between Prahalad and his father Hiranyakashipu and it hurts the feelings of Hindus. VHP has condemned Kamal and demanded that the film should be banned.

VHP members approached the commissioner office and lodged the complaint against the film.

KL Sathiyamoorthy, member of VHP said, “The lyrics of the song will upset followers of Lord Vishnu. It belittles the conversation between Prahalad and Hiranyakashipu. Hence, we demand a ban on the film.”
