Salman Khan hit and run case: Kapil Sibal to represent Salman in SC

Actor Salman khan’s case is to come up in the Supreme Court as Maharashtra government had furthered appealed against the verdict of Bombay High Court which had acquitted the celebrated actor in the hit and run case.
Congress senior leader and lawyer Kapil Sibal is to represent Salman Khan in the Supreme Court today and Attorney General to represent Maharashtra Government that has challenged the verdict of the High Court.
The announcement of Attorney General to represent Maharashtra Government was made by the Devendra Fadnavis and his government earlier when on 22nd has filed a Special Leave Petition in the Supreme Court against the clean chit which was given to the Bollywood actor in the 2002 hit and run case.
Today’s hearing is going to determine whether or not Salman Khan is going to be heard by the Apex Court before the Maharashtra government’s plea for the review of the High Court’s judgment.
Salman Khan has filed a caveat in his defence in the Supreme Court. He has stated that he wants his version of events to be heard before any order is passed.
Justice J.S. Kher and Justice C. Nagappan will be on the bench that will hear his case.
