Sanjay Dutt, Yerwada Central Jail

Mumbai: Actor Sanjay Dutt will be released from the Yerwada Central Jail by 10 am on Thursday. He is expected to be received by his wife Manyata Dutt and children.
The actor is expected to be released after the filing and completion of the mandatory paper work. He will then travel to Mumbai by a chartered plane to avoid the media. Security will be tightened outside the jail premises as well as his residence in the posh Pali Hill locality.
The celebrity prisoner will be released after serving the remainder of his five-year sentence for possession of illegal arms in the March 12, 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case that left at least 250 dead and over 700 injured.

Sanjay Dutt’s fans, especially in Mumbai are geared up for his release. Noor Mohammadi Hotel, which is located in southern Mumbai, will offer a special dish named 'Chicken Sanju Baba' free of charge to all patrons and fans.
The jail authorities have rejected a request for a small 'welcome ceremony' planned by the family on security grounds, in view of a large number of the actor's fans and media contingent expected there, said an official requesting anonymity, hinting at the absurdity of stardom in the country.
