Mumbai: Celebrating Mahashivratri on Monday, celebrities like Lata Mangeshkar, Hema Malini, Madhuri Dixit and Madhur Bhandarkar sent out good wishes to their fans and well-wishers.
Mahashivaratri is a Hindu festival celebrated annually in reverence of Lord Shiva. It is the day when Lord Shiva was married to Goddess Parvati. 
Here's what the celebrities had to say:

Lata Mangeshkar: Om Namah Shivay. Aap sab ko Maha Shivratri ki mangal shubh kaamanayein. (Om Namah Shivaya. Wishing you all a happy Mahashivratri).
Hema Malini: In Mathura on the occasion of Maha Shivratri. May the Lord shower his blessings on all of us on this holy day...Have a blessed Shivratri.
