You might know Y-Films mainly for their young and real Youtube web series, ‘Bang Baaja Baaraat’ and “Man’s World’, but now they’re coming out with a series of stand-alone short films called ‘Love Shots’, the first of which went online on Wednesday.

The first film in Y-Films’ ‘Love Shots’ series, called ‘The Road Trip’ follows a young couple’s trip down memory lane as they are stranded at the side of a highway, having crashed their car. The short film stars Nimrat Kaur and Tahir Raj Bhasin, who portray the couple with epic levels of chemistry and take the audience on an emotional roller coaster along with their characters.

The Yash Raj Films subsidiary has been previously known to make web series with content that is relatable to Indian young adults and has been known to associate with women’s rights causes, as with its series ‘Man’s World’. Although it would have been a treat to get a second season of the former (or something of the like) right after International Women’s Day, a series of one-shot films is a new medium for web-series producers and one should love to see how they go about it.

‘The Road Trip’ is online now on the Y-Films Youtube channel.
