Deepika Padukone out with Novak Djokovic

The Daily Mail corrected its article and mentioned that Deepika is a Bollywood star

Los Angeles: The Daily Mail closely avoided a social media outrage along the lines of the Sachin Tendulkar-Maria Sharapova incident. It called Deepika Padukone a ‘female companion’ to Novak Djokovic as she was out for dinner with him, describing her as a ‘leggy brunette’.

Deepika’s fans, of course, started protesting foreign tabloids describing her as an unknown friend of the tennis star.

The Daily Mail soon corrected its article, but not before several websites and tweets followed The Mail’s lead. The Mail also added in their article that Deepika is “one of the highest paid actresses in her generation.”

Deepika is in town shooting for xXx: The Return of Xander Cage and went out to dinner with tennis star Novak Djokovic, who is a long time friend of the Bollywood star.
