Chandigarh administration bans 'Nanak Shah Fakir'

WEST BENGAL: Following the release of Nanak Shah Fakir on the big screen, Sikh ccommunity has staged a protest in front of a multiplex in Asansol, West Bengal against the release of the movie.

According to the protestors, there are few scenes in the movie which are against the religious sentiments of the Sikh community.

Already banned in Punjab, the protestors in West Bengal have demanded the ban on Nanak Shah Fakir, directed by Sartaj Singh Pannu in Mamata Banerjee’s state too.

The multiplex authorities have already stopped the screening of the film following the protest where a large number of women, youth and children participated. 

Malls where the multiplexes are housed have also reportedly been vandalized and police personnel have been deployed at the mall campus.
