MUMBAI: Priyanka Chopra-starrer ‘Marry Kom’ has won the Best Film award at the Stockholm International Film Festival Junior (SIFFJ).
Mary Kom, directed by Omung Kumar, has been honoured with the Bronze Horse award.
The movie, based on the legendary Indian boxer M.C Mary Kom, was selected for the Stockholm International Film Festival Junior (SIFFJ) and bagged the best film award.
Calling it a big achievement, director Omung Kumar said in his statement, “Now it will be screened again in Sweden at the Indian Film Festival next month.”
The film, produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, also bagged the National Award for Best Popular Film at 62nd National Film Award 2015 which will be conferred by President Pranab Mukherjee on May 3 at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi.
