New Delhi: Renowned Indian filmstar Dilip Kumar, who was hospitalised on Saturday morning, is now out of ICU and is recovering well.
The actor was admitted at the Lilavati Hospital on Saturday after he complained of respiratory problems. Kumar had a fever on Friday and vomited few times, after which he was shifted to the hospital at 2.00 am.
Though he has been shifted out of the ICU, doctors are keeping a close watch on him as he has crossed 90 years. Kumar is 93.

“I got a call that he was unwell. He had fever and had vomited a few times. He was suffering from pneumonia as well. His white blood cells had shot up. We thought it would be better to admit him to hospital,” Dr Jalil Parkar of Lilavati Hospital said.
The 93-year-old well-known actor was born as Mohammad Yusuf Khan but adopted the screen name of Dilip Kumar.
The actor has given hits like Madhumati, Devdas, Ganga Jamuna, Ram Aur Shyam, Mughal-e-Azam, Karma and many others in his career over six decades.
He was also crowned as the ‘Tragedy King’ for playing a doomed lover in many of his films.
Kumar was awarded Padma Vibhushan in 2015. He has also been honoured with Padma Bhushan in 1991 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 for his stupendous performance in Indian cinema.
Kumar was last seen in the film Qila in 1998.
