CHENNAI: Actor-director Kamal Hassan-starrer ‘Uttama Villain’ is delayed again which was scheduled to release this morning.
According to the sources, the shows were cancelled citing financial issues between producers and financiers.
"The issue between the producers and the financiers is expected to be settled soon and the film may release during the course of the day," one of the distributors of the film informed.
The film, directed by Ramesh Arvind, features Kamal Haasan in a double role with lead actresses Pooja Kumar and Andrea Jeremiah.
‘Uttama Villian’ landed in trouble after the Tamil wing of Vishwa Hindu Parishad called for a ban on the film, claiming it will affect the religious sentiments of Hindus.
