Los Angeles: In the latest news coming from Hollywood for all the Fast and Furious franchise fans, Oscar winner Helen Mirren confirmed that she is joining the cast of upcoming "Fast and Furious 8".
Earlier, the actor in her interview with a daily revealed that she desired to play a grey character. However, her upcoming role in the eighth instalment of the globally popular Fast and Furious franchise is kept under wraps.
Helen said, "I want to be make film and theatre, but film is particularly relevant. I like it to be serious. Of course, having said that I'm about to do Fast and Furious 8, But that's for the fun of it. So maybe that's what I want as well, some fun and some relevant, serious, important movies."
The actor played coy when asked whether or not she is going to drive one of the fast cars in the movie.
"I've always rather loved driving, I'll be in it, but only if I'm allowed to drive if I do drive in it.' But we'll see. We'll see how it transpires," the 70-year-old actor Helen Mirren said.
