Hyderabad: Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi’s most awaited movie which has been tentatively titled Kathilantodu will be the actors’ 150th film.
Putting an end to further delays the movie reportedly went on floors on Thursday, June 23.
A special set has been erected by Thota Tharani in Hyderabad. The film is a remake of the Tamil blockbuster Kaththi, which deals with issues plaguing farmers, and the Telugu version has been written by the Parachuri Brothers.
As per sources, Chiranjeevi was so impressed with Burra Sai Madhav that he personally asked for him. Sai Madhav who had earlier written the dialogues for films like Kanche and Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum, is also writing the dialogues for this one too.
VV Vinayak is the director and Ram Charan is producing the film. The makers have approached Anushka for the female lead, but she hasn’t confirmed yet as she is busy with a few projects.
