Bengaluru: Ahead of the release of Tamil superstar Rajnikanth’s movie ‘Kabali’, Malaysian carrier Air Asia is going to operate a special Bengaluru-Chennai, round the trip flight to watch his upcoming film on July 15th. The fans can fly in to watch the film’s premier in his home city Chennai.
The total fare for this unique and interesting entertainment trip will cost around Rs 7,860 inclusive of round trip tickets, movie tickets, audio CD, lunch, snacks, local fares in the city from Airport to theatre and return.
For the first time in the history a special flight has been scheduled for a movie. This sure is a unique way to promote a film. The Kabali-themed aircraft has been painted with Rajinikanth's image from the film and has a special menu. To catch the first-day show of the film on July 15, fans will have to fly to Bengaluru to catch a connecting flight to Chennai.
“This special plane, powered by Thalaivar (Rajini) quite literally, is dedicated to Rajini fans across the globe. This is Air Asia’s way of paying a tribute to the one and only superstar in the country," Amar Abrol, CEO, AirAsia India said.
Another excitement for Rajini fans is that there is a contest where the airline is inviting fans to post Kabali-style videos on Twitter and Facebook. The winners will get a chance to fly to the film's shooting locations in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok, as well as watch Kabali's first show.
