Supreme Court issues notice to Rajinikanth's wife Latha

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday issued a notice to superstar Rajinikanth's wife Latha over ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ movie selling rights. The plea was filed by Ad Bureau Advertising Pvt Ltd, Chennai.

Earlier, the Bengaluru police had registered an FIR against Latha Rajinikanth on charges of cheating a post-production unit Ad Bureau involved with the film ‘Kochadaiiyaan'. She was also accused of producing fake documents before a court.

The FIR was registered at the Halasuru Gate police station under the provisions of IPC sections 196 (using evidence known to be false), 199 (false statement made in declaration which is by law receivable as evidence), 420 (cheating) and 463 (forgery).
'Kochadaiyaan,' India's first photorealistic motion capture film was released on May 23, 2014.
