Bombay Velvet starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar is out and the movie directed by Anurag Kashyap has bagged mixed reactions.
Even though some did not appreciate Kashyap’s efforts to deliver the real state of Mumbai, the ‘then’ Bombay, the director stood up for his movie and wrote a post on his Facebook page for both his fans and haters. (Also Read: Movie Review: Bombay Velvet – Not as great as it was hyped)
Speaking about the mixed opinions, Kashyap said that he was proud of ‘Bombay Velvet’. “This is the film I wanted to make and I am glad I got to make it.”
Known for his eccentric projects, Ram Gopal Varma simply could not resist commenting on it and the much expected Twitter war followed between these famous directors.
In his reaction to Anurag’s Facebook post, Varma said:
A director standing by his film rejected by the audience is like him telling a girl "I love myself and I don't care if you don't love me"

In something that Anurag is best at, ‘sarcasm’, he replied:
@RGVzoomin sir i love you too much.. now put that Vodka aside and sleep.. lots of kisses

The comment from Kashyap received another mocking response:
@anuragkashyap72 well sir for ur info I stopped drinking ...I am not into kissing men but love you too

Kashyap soon after that replied in his best way:
@RGVzoomin then lets have filter coffee together soon to celebrate the AAG..
