New Delhi: Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan ahead of the release of his upcoming film, ‘Madaari,’ met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, as part of his film promotions.
Moment after meeting Delhi CM Kejriwal, he held a press conference and said, “Met Delhi CM, will meet Rahul ji and Modi ji soon.”
“We want to talk to them as normal people about the challenges of system for transparency,” Irrfan said while interacting with reporters.
“One man cannot bring in changes in the society; everyone has to come forward to improve the situation. I want to know their view. ‘Madaari’ movie is about many issues, it’s also about accountability, accountability to the promises that we make,” said Irrfan Khan
However, there was a bit of a drama during the conference when Irrfan Khan was asked about how was it that he got to meet Arvind Kejriwal so easily. Irrfan Khan stood up and asked that whether it was justified for the reports to ask him such questions.
Irrfan’s upcoming film ‘Madaari’ explores a father-son relationship and traces the plight of a common man who loses his son in an accident, also features Jimmy Sheirgill in a pivotal role. The film, which is slated to release on Friday, also highlights the political system of the nation.
