Mumbai: Self-claimed critic Kamaal Rashid Khan on Friday denied taking any money whatsoever from ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ director Karan Johar for bringing ill-fame to its movie in competition – Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Shivaay.’
KRK, in a press conference held on Friday, also said that Ajay Devgn is only using him as a scapegoat and that he has nothing to do in the matter of these two films competing with each other on various social media platforms.
Ajay Devgn on Thursday posted a tweet to share an audio clip wherein KRK can be heard talking to Shivaay’s producer Kumar Mangat. KRK, in the audio, can be heard telling Mangat that he owes Karan Johar at least ‘this’, hinting indirectly at bringing ill-reputation to Ajay Devgn’s movie, in exchange of Rs 25 lakhs.
This happened when Ajay Devgn asked his friend Kumar Mangat to call KRK and find out the reason behind him bad-mouthing ‘Shivaay’ on Twitter. The actor then shared the recorded tape from his account. Ajay Devgn has also demanded for an investigation against KRK and Karan Johar.
Karan Johar directorial film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Shivaay’ will be seen competing on the big screen, as both share the same release date i.e. October 30.
