Tanu weds Manu Returns crosses Rs. 100 crore mark in one week

NEW DELHI: Ever since its release, Tanu weds Manu Returns has been shining all across. Taking its golden run a step forward, the movie starring R Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut has already crossed Rs. 100 crore mark worldwide.

The movie has earned a total of Rs. 101.67 cr, informed trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

The story revolving around the rediscovery of love between a married couple, ‘Tanu weds Manu Returns’, directed by Anand L Rai is a sequel to ‘Tanu weds Manu’ that was a super-hit show by the filmmaker in 2011.

Apart from Madhavan and Kangana, who has certainly made a place in all award functions with her double role in the movie, supporting cast of actors Jimmy Sheirgill, Deepak Dobriyal and Swara Bhaskar have equally contributed to the movie to make it such a big blockbuster.(Also Read: Movie Review: Tanu weds Manu Returns – This ‘rom-com’ is sure to tickle your funny bone)

TWMR has not only garnered praises from the audience and friends, but even the critics have given great reviews to the movie, which certainly has added to its kitty.

The movie, released on May 22 collected a whooping amount of Rs. 38.10 crore in its opening weekend.
