BMC has found violations in 15 flats building of the DLH Enclave

New Delhi: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai on Monday registered a complaint against comedian Kapil Sharma and actor Irrfan Khan at Oshiwara police station for illegal construction in the same building.

BMC Sub-Engineer from South Ward, AD Jagtap lodged the complaint with Oshiwara Police Station under various sections of the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, said Mumbai Police spokesperson DCP Ashok Dudhe.

The BMC has found violations in 15 flats building of the DLH Enclave in Goregaon where both actors own flats. They have been served notices for illegal constructions within the building.

Earlier, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) filed a complaint against Kapil Sharma under IPC Section 176 at Versova police station in Mumbai as he kept mum on an alleged bribery case.

Bharatiya Janata Party legislator Ram Kadam led a noisy morcha to Kapil's home demanding he should identify the corrupt officers and help rid BMC of graft, but he has not yet obliged.

Mumbai Congress President Sanjay Nirupam meanwhile expressed support to Kapil and wrote to Governor CV Rao, seeking directions to Fadnavis to order a probe into the graft allegations.

The actor was embroiled in intense bouts of controversy when he tweeted that he had been paying Rs 15 crore as Income Tax to the government, but still had to pay a bribe of Rs 5 lakh to officials.
