Rekka: Movie review and Twitter response

Chennai: Tamil movie ‘Rekka’ featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Lakshmi Menon hit the silver screens on Friday.

The story-line of ‘Rekka’ revolves around the life an advocate named Shiva and his love interest. The role of Shiva is played by Vijay and the role of her lover is played by Lakshmi, who is a village damsel.

As the movie progress, Shiva has to face a situation where he is bound to kidnap a girl and the consequence forms the main crux of the story.

‘Rekka’ is set in the mesmerising locations of Madurai and Kumbakonam of Tamil Nadu.

The movie has received mixed response from the audience. The plot of the movie is weak and boring and the acting of the actors can be considered to be average.

Rekka is written and directed by Rathina Shiva and produced by B. Ganesh under the banner Common Man productions.

Rekka was given a clean U/A certification from the censor board. The music is scored by D Imman who left no stone unturned to create magic with his songs.
