New Delhi: It was a mixed feeling for the fans of ‘Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhaniya’ as it came to an end with its last episode being aired on 7 October 2016 on Sony TV.
‘Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhaniya’ premiered on 18 July 2016, and was one of a kind series as it showcased a family with real stories and seemed to be quite positive as compared to the other daily soaps. The location of the serial was at a hill station with picturesque sights.
BBKD stands out in the list of other serials currently playing on TV because it depicted many different phases of life and culture. This daily soap ‘Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhaniya’ focused on a Pant family, looking for a ‘perfect’ girl for their eldest son, Abhishek (Priyanshu Jora) who is responsible, intelligent and caring. Abhishek had to drop-out of his engineering college just to support his family in crisis. In a family where everyone wants to evade responsibilities, Abhishek is the most dutiful guy, who also runs a home-stay business. His family members are like any typical middle-class family who are opinionated and critical.
The show manages to share some important messages some of which are the importance of family relationships, respect to elders, caring and taking up responsibilities effortlessly. The elder son, Abhishek Pant, is a character from whom one can learn the lessons of life. He took the responsibility of his family when he should have been studying. He always respects his grandmother, mother and other family members and never takes any decision against his family.
The lead role actress, Meera (Namita Dubey) is just the opposite of Abhishek. Meera, in BBKD is a free-spirited girl, who does not want any burden in her life. She lives a life without any responsibility and does not care about the world.
Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhaniya fans must be happy about Abhishek and Meera Pant both ending up being married and remaining happily in love.
The happy-go-lucky, BBKD, has been replaced by Jennifer Winget and Kushal Tandon’s thriller show ‘Beyhadh’ with its first premier on 11 October. The makers of the channel decided that Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhaniya deserved to have a logical ‘happy’ ending.
