New Delhi: American singer-actor Justin Timberlake has accidentally landed himself in trouble after he posted a picture of him taking a selfie inside a polling booth.
The ‘Cry Me A River’ singer posted the picture on Instagram. He captioned picture as, “Hey! You! Yeah, YOU! I just flew from LA to Memphis to #rockthevote !!! No excuses, my good people! There could be early voting in your town too. If not, November 8th! Choose to have a voice! If you don’t, then we can’t HEAR YOU! Get out and VOTE! #excerciseyourrighttovote.”
As per reports, the 35-year-old singer was in his hometown in Tennessee to vote but unwittingly broke the law for taking a ballot selfie.
According to the law, the singer can end up in jail for 30 days and pay a USD 50 fine.
Although the law of taking photographs vary throughout the United States, the ballot selfie laws were signed in Tennessee last year.
