Bengaluru: The bodies of two Kannada actors, who went missing and were feared drowned after a stunt went wrong on the sets of the film ‘Mastigudi’ at Tippagondanahalli Lake on Magadi Road, around 35KM west of Bengaluru, Karnataka, have been recovered.
The body of one of the drowned actors, Uday was recovered yesterday, while of Anil was found on Thursday.
The actors were working as body doubles and were performing an action scene for the movie ‘Mastigudi’ where they were to jump from a chopper and perform the discussed action. But, unfortunately, the two actors went missing just after they jumped off.
Uday and Anil’s bodies were found in decomposed state. Several teams, including National Disaster Response Force and Fire were involved in search operations.
The bodies of Uday and Anil will be taken to Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru, where post-mortem will be conducted. The bodies will be handed over to the families after the autopsy report of post-mortem comes.
As per reports, proper safety measures were not taken by the film production unit which led to such a bitter loss for the family of the deceased actors.
The kin of the actors have blamed the staff and crew of the film for the lapse in security measures.
