Mumbai: Post the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led government’s decision to demonetise two big value currency notes, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn on Sunday while speaking in support for this move said, “You really need guts to take a step like this; hats off as this will be beneficial in the long run.”
Hailing government’s decision, the ‘Shivaay’ actor said, “Even my film is suffering because of this but in front of nation’s interest, find this inconvenience trivial. Want to request people to not panic; there is time till December 30. People who’re not in desperate need for money can wait a bit.”
“Whenever change takes place, common man faces problem; people from my office are standing in queues and willing to face problems for better future,” Devgn added.
People across the nation have been facing inconvenience but are also supporting the decision taken by government to demonetise currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 to crack down on black money and corruption.
Prime Minister in his address to the nation on Tuesday had announced that in order to put a menace and crackdown on black money, the government will demonitise Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes and they will be replaced by new Rs 500 and Rs 2,0000 notes which will be available in the ATMs from November 11.
