Mumbai: John Abraham who recently walked out of ‘Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza’ on Colors TV during the promotional events of his upcoming movie ‘Force 2’ has finally reacted to the controversy.
As per reports in a promotional event in Powai when the actor-producer was asked about the incident he said, “Well, I feel I won’t comment on it, or else I will give importance to everyone. As part of our job, we as actors are asked to go to many places and it is the requirement of the movie. I think we stuck to that. That is all I want to say.”
‘Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza’ is a roast show which, intended on a lighter note, aims to make fun of the celebrities coming as guests on the show.
This is not the first instance of celebrities walking out of CNBT. Earlier, ‘Parched’ actor Tannishtha Chatterjee walked out of the show as there were repeated comments on her skin colour which she didn’t find funny at all, rather termed them as “regressive and blatantly racist”.
Krushna Abhishek, the host of CNBT, told Bombay Times that he was cracking jokes on his earlier films like ‘Paap’, when John told him that those were his favourite films. Later, he refused to dance on a song with Krushna on stage, after which he walked out and left.
If reports are to be believed the makers of the show might put an end to the roasting format of the show.
