Hollywood star Angelina Jolie, for the first time after her break-up with husband Brad Pitt, talked about how she was coping with the divorce proceedings and how it had affected their six children.

In the BBC World News Exclusive, a teary-eyed Angelina Jolie said that the split was a very difficult time for the family. “I don’t want to say very much about that, except to say it was a very difficult time and we are a family, and we will always be a family,” she said.

Jolie was promoting her new film in Cambodia when the reporter asked about how she was coping with life post-split from husband Brad Pitt. The 41-year-old actress accepted that this was not an uncommon situation.

“Many people find themselves in this situation. My whole family have all been through a difficult time,” she said.

“My focus is my children, our children. We are and forever will be a family and so that is how I am coping. I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer,” Jolie stated.

At the promotion of her upcoming movie, ‘First They Killed My Father’, Jolie was accompanied by her children Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne.
