Even though Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) leader, Kumar Vishwas has managed to escape the dispute unharmed which erupted earlier in the year within his party, but the problems for the poet-cum-politician just do not seem to end. Kumar Vishwas — who is popularly known for his poems — has again got himself tangled into a controversy when his tribute video to Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s poem, got him a legal notice from Amitabh Bachchan over copyright issues.
Amitabh ‘Shehenshah’ Bachchan has slammed AAP leader Vishwas in a copyright infringement case for using his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s poem in a tribute video and then uploading it on YouTube from his personal handle.
However, the matter was highlighted on June 10 when the legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan, took to his Twitter handle and said that it was copyright infringement.

Following the Tweet, Vishwas was sent a legal notice from Bachchan. The slammed legal notice said, the actor was shocked and surprised to come across a video on the official YouTube page of Kumar Vishwas where he was reciting his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s poem without being authorised to use the literary works.
As per reports, Bachchan’s legal team said that the video by Kumar Vishwas is likely to mislead the public over the source of poem. The legal team also asked the APP leader to take down the video from all platforms and also provide the owner of all the money which was made.
Responding to this, Kumar Vishwas took the video down and said that it was the tribute video to ‘Babuji’.
He tweeted, “Rcvd appreciation ftom all poet’s family but Notice frm you Sir. Deleting the Tribute video to Babuji. Sending earned Rs 32 as demanded.Pranam.”
