Mumbai-based Radio Jockey (RJ) Malishka Mendonsa whose recent parody on Sonu Song – ‘Mumbai tula BMC var Bharosa Nai Kai’ – (Mumbai…don’t you have faith in BMC) went viral on social media has landed in a legal soup.
As per reports, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has served a notice to Malishka’s mother Lilly Mendonsa under section 381 B of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation (MMC), after breeding spots for mosquitoes were found at her Bandra Pali Hill road house.
In the song, Malishka is heard singing about the pathetic condition of Mumbai during the monsoon and taking jibes at Shiv Sena-controlled BMC for its ill-preparedness during the season.

Soon after the song was released, Saamana, Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece tragetted Malishka, asking her, “Malishka, tula dengue var bharosa navy kaay?” (“Malishka, don’t you trust Dengue?”). The youth wing of BMC even went further and urged the municipal commissioner to lodge a defamation case of Rs 500-crore against 93.5 Red FM.
RJ Malishka is a known name of her industry. She had trained Bollywood actress Vidya Balan for her role in ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’.
