The poster of Malayalam movie Udalazham, starring Mani and Anumol, was released recently. While many lauded the poster, one user on Facebook posted a racist comment stating, “If such an ugly guy can be a hero, I too can become one.”

This comment did not go down well with actress Anumol, who curtly replied to him, “A bit of decency would be appreciated. Cinema needs those who are talented in acting, not ones who talk nonsense.”

Comments about actors’ looks is not something new on social media but actress Anumol’s retort took down the FB user with finesse. The Facebook user seemed to be ashamed of his racist comment as he deleted it later.

Mani is making a comeback to films after 12 years and will be seen playing a tribal man who realises he is a transgender. Anumol plays Meera, who is a dancer, in the movie.

The movie also features Joy Mathew, Indrans, Sajitha Madathil and Nilambur Ayisha. Interestingly, it is produced by ‘Doctors’ Dilemma’, a group of medicos who passed out of Kozhikode Medical College.
