Actress Aishwarya Rajesh is the latest to be affected by the Blue Whale challenge. Speaking exclusively to NewsX, the actress who is making her Bollywood wood debut in Arjun Rampal’s ‘Daddy’, stated, “I just heard this morning that my brother’s friend committed suicide because of this Blue Whale game. We really to ban it. People are getting addicted to it and driven to suicide. This is very dangerous especially for youngsters. I have been upset ever since I heard the news this morning.”

The Blue Whale challenge has seen numerous youngsters commit suicide in India. On July 29, a young boy in Andheri, Mumbai, jumped off the building. He had in fact photographed himself sitting on the parapet right before jumping off with a caption: “Soon the only thing you would be left with is a picture of me.” This was reported on July 31 as the first suicide related to the Blue Whale Challenge. Since then numerous suicides have been linked to this hazardous game.

Meanwhile, the Indian government has asked Facebook, Google and What’s App to remove all links to the Blue Whale challenge.
