‘Carbon’ will focus on the environment and will be widely shot in the forests. It talks about the carbon footprint and climate change and the consequences of it.

It was more than two decades back that Bollywood’s Vishal Bhardwaj scored music for a Malayalam film. Now, he is back to scoring music for a film starring Fahadh Faasil and Mamta Mohandas.

‘Carbon’ will be directed by National Award-winning cinematographer Venu. Venu has directed only three films ‘Daya’ (1998), ‘Munnariyippu’ (2014) and now ‘Carbon’. In Daya he worked with Vishal Bhardwaj and seems to have a very good rapport with him.

The movie is set to start rolling soon. Though the movie revolves around climate change, it is said to be a thriller so it will be very engaging for the audience. K U Mohanan will be the cinematographer. He recently worked on Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’. The film is produced by Siby Thottumpuram along with Manu Kunjachan under the banner of Poetry Films.
