After reports that actress Urvashi Rautela is not going to play the lead in ‘Hate Story 4’ because of the high amount of sexual quotient required in the script of the erotic thriller. The actress who was last seen grooving in a dance number from Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil was finalised for the role with director Vishal Pandya compromising on some steamy scenes from the script. Now after her confirmation her opposite lead has also been revealed. According to reports doing rounds, TV actor Karan Wahi has been roped in as the male lead of the movie.
This will be the 4th instalment of the Hate Story franchise, all 3 segments in past have seen variable success at the box office. According to sources, the film’s shoot has already begun in London and with both Urvashi and Karan there.
The third star who has been confirmed in the movie is Punjabi actress Ihana Dhillon, who has previously acted in a few Punjabi movies notably, Daddy Cool Munde Fool and Tiger.
“I’m part of ‘Hate Story 4’. I had received a call from the production house first. I was kind of skeptical so, I said ‘no’ as I didn’t want to start my Bollywood career with a bold role, but when I had a second meeting with the team; I sat through the entire film narration.”
“After listening to the story and knowing more about my role in the film, I immediately said ‘yes’,” Ihana said in a statement after deciding on her Bollywood debut with Hate Story 4.
For Karan Wahi too it will be his Bollywood debut in the love thriller which will reportedly be a triangle of affairs between the characters of Urvashi, Karan and Ihana. Reportedly, Urvashi will essay the role of a supermodel and the story will revolve around a female-centric revenge story.
“It is completely different from the earlier franchises and I am the hero in the film,” Urvashi had said after signing the film.
Revealing more about the plot and content of the film, director Vishal Pandya had said, “Hate Story 4 will be different from the other 3 films of the franchise and will be based on a real-life story.”
Karan Wahi, a cricketer turned actor has been a mainstay in the Indian television for long and was recently a part of stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi. He has been a part of several Indian TV serials and dance shows including Nach Baliye and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. For Urvashi Rautela it will be her 6th appearance in a Bollywood film. She has been seen in lead roles in three films previously and made her Bollywood debut opposite Sunny Deol in ‘Singh Saab The Great’.
