In an ironic development, National award-winning editor B Lenin made nasty remarks about bollywood actress Deepika Padukone at an event. “Deepika’s own father (Badminton ace Prakash Padukone) has thrown her out of the house,” Lenin said taking everyone by shock since the meet was held to extend support to Padmavati which has been a centre of massive controversy with some Hindu cringe groups protesting against the movie for distorting facts. Lenin further stooped even lower and made cringe-worthy statements about Tamil actress Amala Paul.
Amala Paul was embroiled in controversy when posters of her sensual film Thiruttu Payale 2 came out. Paul had then said she could not believe her navel was capable of creating so much buzz. “I never thought my navel would create so much buzz around the film,” she had said. Taking a sly dig at Paul, Lenin said, “She is speaking about the navel. With CG (Computer Graphics), we can go even further inside and show everything,” he said. The editor further said that actors these days are not dignified in doing their work. “Bobby Simhaa used to get jitters when he acted in romantic scenes with me. I have always had the upper hand.’ What does she mean by upper hand, who would be on top?” Paul said.
The most shocking part is that Padmavati meet was held to support the film and nobody expected such unpleasant remarks against film’s lead actress Deepika Padukone. The editor has been slammed by several people on social media after the video from the event went viral. Now, it would be interesting to see if Deepika Padukone and Amala Paul react to the nasty remarks or choose to ignore it.
