Bollywood movie ‘Chef’ starring Saif Ali Khan has hit the screens on Friday. The movie which is a remake of official remake of Jon Favreau’s Hollywood hit with the same name have managed to garner mixed response among audience and fans.
Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, ‘Chef’ features Padmapriya (earlier seen in Chandan Arora’s Striker), Chandan Roy Sanyal, Sobhita Dhulipala, Milind Soman and Svar Kamble besides Saif Ali khan.
The main plot of the movie revolves around the relationship between a father and a son connected via food.
Saif Ali Khan who plays the role of a successful international chef, Roshan Kalra comes to India to spend time with his son, played by Svar Kamble. Eventually during his stay, Saif Ali Khan gives up his job and starts a food truck alongwith his son. Chef also marks the Bollywood debut of south Indian actress Padmapriya.
Chef has received mixed response among the audience with some people appeciating the storyline and concept while some critising it.

Hot and Sexy Milind Soman has a brief role in the movie and it is fun to watch his recommendable performance. Padmapriya who plays the role of Saif Ali Khan’s wife is a beautiful add on in the movie. With her dance and performance, Padmapriya manages to woo the audience.
Directed by ‘Airlift’ fame Raja Krishna Menon, ‘Chef’ is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra and Bandra West Pictures.

‘Chef’ that released in around 1500 to 2000 screens around the world is expected to earn Rs 4 crores on Friday. Apart from Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Chef’, the other releases of this week are ‘Lego Ninja’, ‘Tu Hai Mera Sunday’ and ‘Victoria & Abdul’ which are not expected to stand in competition for the film.
