Insight with Rahul Shivshankar: Dividing India not a crime?

He's done it again. MNS chief Raj Thackeray who portrays himself as the crusader for Marathis has now made an open call for violence, urging his partymen to identify new autos, burn them if the driver is a non-Marathi.
Now there's no doubt this speech was made to instigate violence at a time when the MNS is grovelling for votes and hanging on to its last thread for political relevance in Maharashtra, but how can his statement just be ignored the govt?
Condemnations galore, from all party circles from all aisles but not one raised a finger to file a case against the MNS chief. It was left to an NGO to stand up against this hate ranter but we ask tonight — why hasn’t the state govt acted against Raj Thackeray. Is a mere condemnation and empty promises enough?
